Basic 10+ is an ERISA plan, and can be offered in all states. It can be self-funded, or partially self-funded eliminating excess claims liability for the employer.

Basic 10+ offers a maximum benefit of $10,000 per covered person per year with a prescription drug benefit in addition to that maximum limit. Within the annual maximum benefit, there are some limitations on a per visit basis. However, under the Basic 10+ Plan, more coverage is generally available to the participants than under other fully insured indemnity type mini-medical programs.
